This year, the summer school application is included in our annual Online Registration forms to save families the hassle of providing the same information in multiple places. For each student in your household, you will have the opportunity to select your interest in summer school as well as request summer bus transportation and summer Cougar Care. When you complete the Online Registration process, you should receive a confirmation email. The first round of notifications for Summer Journey enrollment or waitlist status will be sent home on April 11.


The Affton School District Board of Education will vote on the 2024 tax rate on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at 7 p.m. during the annual scheduled tax rate hearing. This yearβs proposed rate is $4.9284 per $100 assessed valuation, a slight increase from the 2023 rate, which was $4.8379, and maintaining a voluntary tax rollback of 35-cents first introduced in 2017. This 35-cent rollback reduces the tax burden for the community by approximately $2.15 million for 2024.

The tax rate hearing will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed immediately by the regular business meeting of the Board of Education in the Multipurpose Room at Affton Early Childhood (9832 Reavis Road, 63123). The public is invited to attend all meetings of the Board of Education.
