Our first and second grade students had a wonderful time experiencing “Life Doesn’t Frighten Me” presented by the talented performers from Metro Theater Company! Through music, storytelling, and powerful performances, students explored themes of courage, confidence, and facing fears with bravery. It was an engaging and inspiring experience that brought literature and the arts to life for our young learners. Thank you to Metro Theater for sharing this meaningful performance with our Mesnier students! 🎭✨

Today we surprised Mrs. Sexton, Kindergarten teacher and Mesnier’s Teacher of the Year, and Ms. Rebecca, our Distinguished Service Award winner and amazing custodian, with a parade through the halls!

Students and staff lined the hallways to celebrate their hard work and the positive impact they make at Mesnier every day. We are so proud of them! 🐾

🧩 Building Our Class Family, One "Pause" at a Time! We had a blast bringing our K–2nd Grade Class Family back together today! The mission was simple: make new friends and practice the art of kindness through play. Our Middle School mentors were total rockstars! They led the younger students through a game of "Pause and Play," where every few minutes, they’d stop the action to reflect on how to be a great friend while sharing blocks, board games, and laughs.

🎉 Big congratulations to Nejra and Levi for meeting their goals! 👏✨ Your hard work and determination paid off — we are so proud of you! Keep shining! 🌟💪

Math is all fun and games in second grade! 🎲💰 Our students are leveling up their addition and money skills through hands-on games. It’s been so much fun watching them collaborate, problem-solve, and grow their math confidence together!

We are kicking off Read Across America Week at Mesnier with some very special Mystery Readers! All week long, special guests will be popping into classrooms in inflatable costumes to share the joy of reading. Today, we had a very special visit from our first Mystery Reader—Affton Superintendent Dr. Bracht! He stopped by Ms. Wickey’s and Ms. Jauer’s classrooms to surprise our students and share a story. Our students loved trying to guess who was under the costume! Stay tuned as we reveal more Mystery Readers throughout the week. 🕵️‍♂️
